Suggest Treatment For Insomnia Caused Due To Clonazepam Withdrawal
hello. Ive been taking 2mg daily of clonazepam. Misplaced my pill bottle. the first day without any, felt like I had the flu, but times 100. 2nd day now, still no sleep, cant function normaly and feel very disconnected. is there anything I can do to at least ease the intensity.
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine group of drug which has a very high potential of tolerance and dependence. What you are experiencing is physical dependence because of which the abrupt stopping of this drug has lead to sleeplessness and fatigue. After the intake of this drug for a long duration, it is advisable that the drug is tapered and withdrawn under the supervision of a psychiatrist and not simply abruptly stopped as it may even cause some dangerous side effects like seizures. It would be advisable to visit an experienced psychiatrist at the earliest to get relief from the problem.
Hope your query is answered.
