Suggest Treatment For Insomnia In An Elderly Person
my father had a CVA 3 yeas back . he is 84 years now and his present ECG shows irregular RRBB. had had been hospitalises 20 days back due to femur bone dislocation and is taking traction. doctor couldnt operate due to poor health condition. he is presently taking atrovastatin 20 and ecosprin 25 daily at lunch time. at night he is taking Quitipin 25 for the last 20 days at night before dinner due to tremendous restlessness and is not sleeping at night. his CT scan report shows age related cerebral atrophy. widened cortical sulci- gyri pattern. asymmetrical gliotic changes noted involving left parietal region. small infarct in right periventricular region. Both lateral ventricles are dilated with age related degenerative changes in periventricular white matter. he was also taking somazina tab 500mg twice daily. but our family physicial told us to stop the medicine. as he is not sleeping at night. pls suggest some medicines so that he can sleep at night .
