Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You were working in night shift and then the timing has been changed and have poor sleep. A lot of individuals who work in shifts suffer from such symptoms. Shift worker
insomnia occurs due to change in rhythm of sleep centre which results in change in release of sleep hormones from brain. In most of individuals improving
sleep hygiene helps to improve the symptoms. Try to avoid tea, coffee, carbonated drinks, heavy meals in evening. Avoid working on computer in evening, avoid watching TV from bed. Warm water bath in evening will help in good sleep. These simple precautions will help in good sleep.
If even after this symptoms persist then visit a doctor for help. Medicines like
Melatonin,
Ramelteon etc can be used to correct the altered
sleep cycle. These medicines are safe to use and are free of serious side effects. In most of individuals these medicines help to correct sleep with in a week. These are prescription medicines and you have to visit a
psychiatrist for prescription. There is no harm in consulting a psychiatrist.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care

Psychiatrist.
