Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi, Thank you for using health care magic.
I can understand your concerns.
Looking at your overall symptoms , insomnia is seems to be a part of depression(major depression disorder). But this symptoms can also be depression of bipolar mood disorder . Treating depression will eventually treat your insomnia also.
Consult a doctor , if possible psychiatrist. Your mental status examination as well as some history of your past symptoms and family history of psychiatric illness is needed before reaching accurate diagnosis.
Once diagnosed treatment is available in form of medicines like antidepressent , benzodiazepines, mood stabilizers(according to diagnosis) as well as psychotherapy. You also might need to underwent some routine blood test and thyroid status check.
Hope this will help you.
Regards.
