Suggest Treatment For Intense Pain Around The Fallopian Tubes For A 49-year-old
Hello. I am a 43 yr old mother of 2 live births, 1 abortion at the age of 19. I wwent to Reno last night & started feeling this pressure on my very lower left side of my pelvis, around where my fallopian tubes & uterus are. Now that we are home the pain is SO intense that it brings tears to my eyes & fluctuates in a rhythmic pattern, wave like, but it is like NOTHING I have ever felt before. I am scared. I have already ovulated a week or so ago, but no sign of my period. Please help! Thanks, Lisa Steele
Hello Lisa. Thank you for writing us here. Pain like that can have several reasons. Pain in the flank region could be because of infection of ureter or a kidney stone. The pattern you told is like in a rhythm is also a feature of same and also it could be because of bowel inflammation. And commonest cause being pelvic inflammatory disease. You need to get investigations done for the diagnosis. Go for an ultrasound okay? And also you should give a visit to a local gynecologist to get the smears taken and get the correct diagnosis. You can take analgesics like aspirin or paracetamol to get the relief from pain but without these investigations, we cannot do anything. You should visit a hospital for your treatment okay?
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
