Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Diarrhea

I have persistent, but intermittent diarrhea. I have tried adjusting my diet. I am currently taking three probiotic supplements daily. Yesterday I skipped one and the problem came back. Can combining whey protein and bananas cause a problem? I don t want to give up the whey because I hope that it will mitigate sarcopenia.

Hello,

Most of whey protein’s side effects are related to digestion. Some people have problems digesting whey protein and experience symptoms such as bloating, gas, stomach cramps and diarrhea.

But most of these side effects are related to lactose intolerance. Lactose is the main carbohydrate in whey protein. If you are lactose intolerant, try switching to a whey protein isolate powder.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
