Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Fever For My 6-year-old Son
Hi, son is 6 years old. Today morning he complained of headache n then had fever by the afternoon.. Gave him crocin ds but the fever comes back every four hours... Late night gave him 7.5 ml of monocef o 100.. Pls suggest as we are currently in USA.. Was kind of worried.. Thanks
* Whether fever is present with rigors or not may be key findings in concern of possible malaria condition. In absence of rigors, a bacterial or viral infection of the respiratory or GI tract can be considered as a common cause.
* As you have started ceftriaxone antibiotic, wait for further 24 hours period, if later fever cyclic trend persists, a consultation with his pediatrician would be best-needed condition to diagnose further and care accordingly.
