Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Knee Pain

I have very bad knee pain, both knees, intermittently,, eg .when I get up from a chair, (have to use my arms to push myself up) or grap something to get up. I also experience knee pain on and off, when sleeping.
when working on a car, I have to turn myself over, and use push up with arms to get up. I can't knee in Church. Knee operation is out of the question now as I have no family and no one to take care of me.
What do you suggest I do to improve my situation? eg type of exercise,, type of medicine to take, would natural food, sold in stores help? I take blood thinner and other pills so I/m afraid Tylenol will destroy my liver or kidney. Your advice would be very much appreciated.. Thank You.. John at YYYY@YYYY

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain knee pain can occur due to number of causes like Anterior cruciate ligament [ACL] tear, tear of meniscus, traumatic injury, osteoarthritis, knee brusitis, tendinitis of patella, dislocated knee cap etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Orthopedocian and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like x ray, CT Scan, Utrasound etc to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you according to the confiirmed diagnosis..
He can advise you to take medications according to the cause like anti-inflammatory painkiller, muscle relaxants and also advise physiotherapy to strengthen the knee muscles and improve flexibility..
Warm compresses can also help..
In case if the symptoms does not improve with conservative /medical treatment then surgical treatment can be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
