Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Neck Pain While Treating Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type-3

Hi I have just been diagnosed with eds type 3 and I have had neck pain on and off for a lot of years, but the last couple years it has got worse. A few years ago my mum died from an aneurysm on the right side of the brain stem, possibly from the eds. What has happened that this happened to my mum and could it happen to me. Margaret.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is a possibility that you may have inherited it from your mother. EDS may vary in symptoms and you may experience only joint symptoms and not aneurysms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
