Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Pain From Bruised Tooth

i have a brused tooth for weeks now, the last time he worked on it was last Thursday. It hurts on and off but I don't take any advil or anything. Will it heal without anti inflammatory? I had a crown redone and filling and he couldn't get crown off. He drilled forever to get it off. They said they don't think it is infected after looking at X-ray. Its not getting worse, very slowly better I feel. It was worked on 4 times to the usual and then twice to try and get the bit corrected. Maybe it is still a little high I can chew soft stuff but harder stuff there is one angle that seems to still hurt. Any advice and it is little sensitive to cold, but not hot any more.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have intermittent pain from bruised tooth which is because of two things

-Firstly improper positioning of crown due to which it exerts pressure when ever you eat anything and leads to pain in tooth region. Which is also a reason for hight point .

- Secondly it can be due to material of crown that doesn't suits you and creating problem.

Take ibuprofen(if not allergic) or acetaminophen for pain, try to eat from other side , eat soft diet and maintain proper oral hygiene.

Visit dentist again and get crown resettled and and relieve the high point , because untreated high point can lead to further complications like temporomandibular joint problem or replace the crown with other crown having different material ..

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
