Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Pain In The Shoulder Blades

I have intermittent pain in my back between my shoulder blades. The most difficomfort occurs when I bend over to retrieve something from the floor. The pain feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife and I feel a fullness under my rib cage. At the same time I experience bilateral ear pain. I have had a cervical fusion for degenerative disc disease..plus lumbar laminectomy. This pain is different from any of my known spinal pain of sciatica and upper extremity weakness.

Hello,

This is more likely due to musculoskeletal pain. So avoid heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercise. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.

Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like ibuprofen and thiocolchicoside.

Sit with proper back support. Avoid excessive movements like bending, squatting etc. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
