Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Sinus Headaches And A Brain Aneurysm

I have a brain aneurysm about 15 cc s and have no pain or headache but do have sinus (minor) headaches now and then. I am 68 years old. As of late I have had with my little sinus feels some pinching feeling on both sides of my head kind of just besides the temples. Nothing prominent but have with sinus pressure also. I am trying to wait till after the first of the year, if I can, as I need to build up my personal leave for 6 weeks of home care. I would like to know more symptoms than an extreme headache. I also live 200 miles from Omaha NE Medical where my neurologist, Dr Sedell is. Please advise me. Thanks! YYYY@YYYY

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the brain aneurysm of 15 cc sounds to be chronic benign condition having minor to moderate sinus headache from vascular congestion. My guidelines at present:
- Keep the blood pressure under control
- Drink more liquids and maintain adequate hydration
- Acetaminophen or tramadol hydrochloride type analgesic for headache relief

Surgery in selected cases if the symptoms are severe or not responding to medications (usually through balloon vascular access).

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
