Suggest Treatment For Intertrigo Type Rash On Groin Area
Hi, a few weeks ago I woke up to my dog licking my crotch, I shoved him off the bed but the next couple of days later I got a rash that looks like intertrigo, I went to the doctor s but was to scared to tell her where it came from. What is it and what do I do?

Intertrigo occurs in the folds of the skin eg under the armpits, in between the creases of the groin, under the breasts in women.
If it rash occurred the groin crease then it may be intertrigo and treatment involves keeping the folds separate, dry and cool (heat makes it worse), mild topical steroid.
If it is not in the folds then it may be an allergic or irritant reaction and using a topical steroid cream should help.
