Hi I have had two surgeries in one year for this. One was a totally blocked. They had to take out part of the intestine. The second was partially blocked and they had to operate again. How can I stop this from happening. My email is YYYY@YYYY
Dear- intestinal obstruction can happen due to scar tissue in the intestine from prior surgeries, colon lesions that grow and block the intestinal canal, intestinal twists. You need to have a healthy diet, high in fiber and low in fat to keep a healthy intestinal wall. Keep a daily bowel movement with stool softeners and water intake at least 32 onz a day. Sometimes it is not possible to avoid the obstruction but if you follow these recommendations, it will be less probable.
