Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m really paranoid about intestinal worms. I don t know for sure if I have one, or if it is my mind just messing with me. I know it s odd but just some things have happened that scared me, like I saw some green small worm swimming in the ocean in key west. I recently went on vacation there. And since I have been really paranoid and scared I looked at my stool in the toilet and saw a little round thing next to my stool, I know it could be stool or some food that haven t digested well, but it could have also been a worm. And it moved to the right which may have been because of the movement in the water, caused by the splashing of the stool that has landed in the toilet. I know I sound odd but intestinal worms have made me paranoid for 3 years and every now and then there is a trigger that basically makes me even more paranoid for a series of days or even months. Please help me find out if I have intestinal worms...
As per my clinical experience, the paranoid thoughts of intestine worms are messing you up. However, for clinical perspective, anal tape test and stool microscopy for worms ova and larvae are best methods to get the precise diagnosis.
