Suggest Treatment For Iodine Tincture Burn On The Scrotum
hi. i hv a suspected iodine tincture burn on my scrotum and its been 3 wks but treated 1 wk with 1 g bd augmentin and about 2 days on 100mg bd sporanox so far but bur pain and redness on scrotum is still v bad cannot wear boxers without feeling the burning pain. Is here any suggestion for nexcourse of treatment l

Thanks fo query .You have chemical burn of scrotal skin due to Tincture Iodine and have been taking Augmentin .
This is due to allergic reaction to Spirit contained in tincture iodine You need to use Topical Steroid cream like Betnovate cream or ointment for local application twice daily .
Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.
With this treatment It should get cured within a week.
