Suggest Treatment For Irregular Bowel Movements And Diarrhea
Hi I have been suffering with RUQ pain for many years, I have already had my gall bladder removed and for the past several years have been having irregular bowel movements. I often have to strain yet the stool is soft and very thin, like the size of a pencil. Other times I have massive diarrhea. The syptoms are getting worse yet my doctor can t seem to pin point the problem. I did have an ultrasound about a year ago and was told that my liver was enlarged. Then he did nothing else.
As per your symptoms and history, it is important to take small frequent and fat-free meals.
After cholecystectomy, the bile gets discharged from the liver directly into the intestines so it creates greasy stools and you need to avoid fatty food because fat digestion is reduced and passes in stools.
Your liver might be enlarged due to fatty liver, ultrasound impression will tell exactly what it is. so it's better to start on a more fruits n vegatables diet rather than fatty processed diet might help. Also, get your thyroid hormones checked.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr KHYATI SEGAN, Pathologist and Microbiologist
