Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation And PCOS
My problem is pcos.. And irregular periods... I consult gynecologist not she started medicine Folic acid, morn 1 tab And periods came on 1 st sep then she started the tab On 3 Rd day of periods ccq tab Then how much time to conceive the pregnancy???
If a patient has PCOS and would like to conceive but has not been able to do so after a year of regular unprotected intercourse, she will need tablets that stimulate ovulation to assist this. Clomifen is a good drug for this. Folic acid, on the other hand, is recommended to be taken daily at a dose 400-600 mcg a day to help have a healthy baby (prevents some birth defects), so you will need to use it daily till you are 3 months pregnant.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
