Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation And Difficulty In Getting Pregnant

Hi. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now. My periods are very irregular and when I go to the doctor they always say cuz my body isn t mature. They never give me straight forward answers. Also when I was younger I was told my uterus could be damaged. What do I need to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Following are the causes of irregular menstruation and difficulty in getting pregnant:
Ovarian cyst/PCOS, hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, adenomyosis, thyroid disorder, endometrial dyspalsia.
I advice you to consult the gynecologist and undergo following investigations: USG scan, endometrial biopsy, ovarian follicle study and reproductive hormone analysis.
Treatment will depend on the cause.
Progesterone and birth control should be given to regularize the period.
And clomiphene citrate to induce the ovualtion.
If medicine will not help then in vitro fertilzation is the option for pregnancy.
Take healthy diet and do regular exercise.
Hope this may help you
