Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation While On Metsmall

Hello Sir, I m 21 years old with height 5 5 and weight 63Kgs.I have been suffering from irregular periods..since one year..In the last year I consulted a doctor she prescribed me Metasmall tablets.I have used them and got my periods in that month and even after continuing them as per the doctor s suggestion there is no development in my period cycle. Moreover I have gained weight, before using these pills even I got irregular periods I had a constant weight of 50 kgs.Later I consulted another doctor she now prescribed me Ginette 35 to use..Are they helpful to treat my problem without any side-effects and reduce my gained weight? Please,suggest me to overcome these problems. Thanking You.

Hi,

For investigations of irregular menstruations, you may be asked for hormonal work up like FSH, LH, Oestrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin, etc.

Before hormonal check up, you will be examined internally to find any organic disease like infection or cyst-Ultrasonography also will reveal a good amount of information regarding your internal organs (and even pregnancy also).

Avoid stress, take a healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
