Hi, I did not get cycles for two months. I was not pregnant. I visited the gynaec and she suggested that I take meprate for 5 days (2 tabs a day) and I will HV my periods. I HV taken the med for 5 days and 2 more days are up. How long should I wait to get my periods?

Hi dear...usually meprate is given alone or ( along with estrogen-- a different regimen) for ten days dear... you should start bleeding by the eight day of meprate itself. If this doesnt happen, you can revisit your gynaecologist, and may she will prescibe you the alternate combination regimen. If there is further delay in the period, you need to get an ultasound of your abdomen to look at your uterus. Also try some natural time tested remedies, like papaya or carrot juice. It works naturally for most of my patients. You can use these remedies in adjunct with the medications prescribed dear. I hope this helps.Your gynae may advise invasive methods but go for the non invasive ones first. Take care dear.
