Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods And Headaches

So, I ve had irregular periods before. But none with these symptoms. I m over a month late now. And I have taken two pregnancy test and both have been negative. Recently I have been getting very light headed and fainting, also having headaches more and more everyday. But I m fine a few moments later. I don t have high blood pressure or low blood sugar. My breasts are also sore..like just said I have taken two test and both have been negative.

Thanks for your question. From your history it is evident that your main problem is irregular periods because of hormonal imbalance resulting in headache and faiting sensation. How much blood you loose during cycle, is it too much?

If I were your treating doctor I would have prescribed birth control pills to regularise the cycle. Suggested to wait for two to three cycles for it to regularise.

If still the cycles were irregular then I would have ordered two investigations
-TSH to rule out hypothyroidism
-pelvic ultrasound to rule out PCOS (polycyclic ovarian syndrome), uterine fibroids

Weight reduction if you are overweight, also helps in regularising the cycles.
