Hi, Doctor I am 20 years old,and i m not getting periods in every month now it has been 3 months i did not get periods can i use this Norethisterone 5mg tablets to get periods bcoz i already used this tablets one year before...so shall use the tablets again for my period
Hello dear I understand your concern Absence of the period for 3 months is not normal. You have to find the cause of irregular period. It could be due to hormonal imbalance, polycystic ovarian disease, adenomyosis, excessive weight loss and gain, thyroid dysfunction, emotional stress. I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study to confirm the cause. Specific treatment will depend on the cause. Progesterone pill or in form of injection will useful, but after proper evaluation. You can also use birth control pill to regularize the period after induction. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise. Hope this may help you
