Suggest Treatment For Irritable Bladder, Gastritis And Insomnia

My last period started 8/31, and the one before that started, I THINK, 8/3. My period lasts three days, with heavy bleeding and cramps on the first day, lighter bleeding and almost no cramps on the second, and no spotting after the third. It s very regular; always the same. I m 5 3 , 98 lbs, petite, vegetarian, athletic, over thirty. I take vitamins: a women s multi, B12, B Complex, D3, and a probiotic. My diet is very simple and consistent, for the last three years: I mostly eat bean tacos, bananas, baked potatoes, apples, Greek yogurt, rice, avocados, eggs, chips and salsa, cookies, and peanutbutter and jam sandwiches. I drink lots of water, and sometimes milk. I have issues with stress: irritable bladder, gastritis, and insomnia, but was told by my family doctor that I am healthy in all other respects. I ve never been to a gynecologist, and I m in my first sexual relationship. I m also not on, or have ever been on, any kind of birth control. What kind of period do I have? Is it a normal cycle? And what are my fertility challenges? I would like to have a child at some point.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes. It's too early to diagnose by home pregnancy test. In case of concern, at the most, you can get blood pregnancy test around your expected date of periods.

It's also too early to have early pregnancy symptoms (you are about 10 days short of periods) but yes, these are suggestive of early pregnancy, hormonal imbalance or genitourinary problem.

I would suggest to exclude urine infection by routine urine check up. Get checked up by a gynecologist if you have associated white discharge, till you can go for pregnancy test.

Thank you.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
