Suggest Treatment For Irritated Skin Near Penis

I have a skin irritation on my penis it s not bad the doctor gave me vanicream but I m not too sure that she meant for me to put it on there I don t know if this is a steroid cream for infection or anything what can I use sometimes it gets irritated when I have sex or I masturbate sometimes it doesn t I always keep it extremely clean I don t know if I m using different type of soaps or cleaning products that are making it like this what can I do Dr

Hi,

The irritation seems due to contact dermatitis or allergic reaction to the washing products your are using extensively on the penile skin and can cause dryness and disruption of normal skin flora, and may need topical emollients as well as a dermatologist review before starting topical weak steroids like momatsone. Oral anti histamines in severe itching can be used.
