Suggest Treatment For Irritation Around The Armpits
It Was very hot four-five days back. I had some moderate to high irritation below my left arm around the armpit. I never cared much but yesterday it was unbearable and thought of applying some medicine(ointment) and discovered red rounded 2-3 rashes of about 1 inch diameter and small rashes spreading around the armpit. Is this because of ring worm? I never had ringworms before and also I havn t tried a new garment without washing these days. What is this and what should I apply for this ?
Based on the symptoms you have mentioned, it sounds like you have have tinea corporis. This is a fungal infection all over the body. Though scraping the skin is needed to confirm this, you can still use antifungal cream to help reduce the rash.
Please see your local chemist to get antifungal cream which you can apply twice a day over the infected area.
If this does not help, please see a doctor in person.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
