Suggest Treatment For Irritation On The Scalp

12/2/16 I went to the hairdressers and had my usual hair color dye done. Next morning, I had an irritation on scalp and scratched off a scab that was not flat, somewhat lifted. Sunday morning after a hair wash I noticed red area about the size of two eggs, oval shaped. After a few days it was getting better and was the size of a nickel. The irritation today did get bigger, more patchy, skin came off in thick amounts inched washed and after applied tea tree oil. A couple of reder areas are what looks like hair follicle. The irritation is somewhat painful, just a little bit of itching.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are suggestive of local inflammation. You can consider steroid lotion for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
