Suggest Treatment For Irritation, Redness And Swelling Of Eye After Accidental Poking
Hello, my son poked me in the eye very hard about 3 hours ago. It immediately swelled up and became red and irritated. I am unable to fully open it and my nose is running on the side of the injured eye. Do I need to go to an E.R. or can I wait until tomorrow.

If I were your treating Doctor for this case of penetrating injury to eye, I would tell you three important points:
1. please go to ER immediately or you may have bad complications / infections in future !
2. wash the eye with clean cold water and apply ciprofloxacin eye drops
3. keep the eye closed and you may use a black goggles!
