Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my boyfriend had 6 bypass surgery in October and has been diagnosed with Ischemic Cardiomyopathy. His ejection fraction only rose to 29, he was at 22 when he was discharged so he is going to have an ICD put in soon. My question is will he be able to live a normal life with a normal life expectancy and if so what can I do to make sure he is kept healthy? I have been worried sick over him and I am afraid he may be very ill, I am hoping that you can ease my worries or at least be honest with me regarding what I should expect and how I can help him. Thank you, Theresa
