Suggest Treatment For Itchiness And Irritation At The Tip Of My Penis

Hello.. I hav been feeling itchiness on the outer skin very near to the tip of mybpenis. Initially thre was not any visual sign only irritation. Later on I noted 3-4 red spots on that area - very similar to local allergies on regular body parts. what oinment should I use? should I also tale oral doses of antibiotics like cefpodoxime or any other?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that itchiness and irritation at the tip of penis along with eruption of red spots can be due to causes like allergic reaction to certain allergens like any soaps or detergents, skin cosmetics, condoms etc..

It can also be due to bacterial infection in case if they form whitehead like pimples progressively..

One more cause can be viral infection caused by Herpes simplex virus 2 causing Genital Herpes..

I would therefore suggest you to consult an Internal Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and also advise investigations like blood tests, urethral swab culture, microscopic examination of scrapings from the bumps etc..

Treatment will depend upon the diagnosis..

In case of allergic reaction anti allergics like Levocetrizine and avoiding exposure to allergen once ruled out will help..
In case of bacterial infection antibiotics and topical antiseptic ointment will help..
In case of herpes oral and topical anti viral medicines like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir can relieve..
Keep the area clean..
Wear loose fitting undergarments..
As of now take anti allergics like Allegra for relief..
