Suggest Treatment For Itchiness And Yellowish Clumps Around The Genital Area

I m really itchy down in my gentiel area. I have white/yellowish clumps. I usually get the clumps but I rarely get the itchiness. I ve had protected sex and made sure that nothing was wrong with the condom. Today I was supposed to get my period but it hasn t come yet. I m usually a day late. Should I worry?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The itching may be due to a yeast infection. This normally causes itching along with a white yellow discharge.

Yeast infections can be treated with topical or oral agents. Some topical agents maybe over the counter eg monistat or vagistat
The oral option is fluconazole but this would require a prescription.

The one day delay may not indicate pregnancy, you can monitor.

I hope this helps
