Suggest Treatment For Itching Allergic Rash Under Breasts, On Armpits And Shoulders
My allergist started me on Singulair this afternoon. It is now 8 pm and i have an allergic reaction rash under my breast, armpits, shoulders and torso. I have a history of skin allergies and sinus rhinitis. I am an immunology therapy patient. I took allegra this morning and just took 2 tablespoons of children s liquid benedryl. Can I take more benedryl? i used a benedryl cream to help itching. I am not having any other adverse affects and i have an epi-pen for emergencies but this seems more like an uncomfortable reaction not a helath emergency. 53 yr old female
Adults can use 25 to 50 mg of benadryl every 4 to 6 hours for reactions.
The pediatric formulation contains 12.5 mg in a teaspoon in most cases , this means that the 2 tsp that you used would have been 25 mg. If it is 12.5mg in a tsp , then you can take up to an additional 2 tsp.
I hope this helps
