Suggest Treatment For Itching And Acne On Face

Goodday doctor, just need answers from you on what to do. i had this Acne problem and one of my friends recommended Neo Medrol for me. Used it for one night and the next day when i woke up i discovered some irritations where gradually appearing on my face and its the third day now and its spread to all part of my face and it itches me badly. But hydrocortisone cream to rub on my face and also took Erythromycin tablets but they dont seem to work, my face still itches me badly and i need help? I AM 24 YEARS OLD

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itching and acne on face which occurs because of allergic reaction of skin, contact dermatitis, infection of bacteria when clogged pores gets filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. Excessive exposure to sun is the other factor responsible for your condition. You should use product containing benzoyl peroxide. You should apply sun screen Such as TAN CARE rich in SPF 26. You should wash your face with mild soap and cold water twice a day , exfoliate your face once a week. Drink 8-9 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Apply aloe vera gel and apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course .
