Hello I am a 48 yrs old man, 5'6" 230pounds with a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and panic attacks. I am writing because of a problem I have had for years. Perianal itching. I have had this situation for more than 15-20 years and have been seen by a few doctors. I was tested for worms etc. you name it. I also have hemmoroidal problems once in a while, but under control. Also doctors have told me I have IBS. Well all my perianal skin and in between my buttocks is red and lately a few streaks of whiteish areas in the skin not the anus. I usually scratch at night because of the itching. I have tried different creams that doctors have prescribed, but the problem persists. I am thinking about going back to my dermatologist. What do you think?
