Suggest Treatment For Itching And Redness In Eyes

I have had itching, redness, & puffiness in my eyes for over 2 weeks. I have been using Visine. I thought I could use it as often as needed like another eyedrop I was using. I ll bet I have used it 12 times/day. Could that be the reason I am not getting better and the reason my skin is also so dry around my eyes?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms of redness, itching and puffiness of eyes seem to be pink eyes due to some infection-viral or bacterial. It may also be co-existing with atmospheric allergies. Hence in my opinion, it will be advisable to use some antibiotic as well as anti-allergic eye drops simultaneously.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
