Suggest Treatment For Itching At The Outside Of The Vagina For Over Two Weeks
I have been having itching on the outside of my vagina for about 2 weeks. It thought it was a rash so I used hydrocortisone cream for itching. It seemed to help some but now I have a lump on my left lip and it hurts and is hard. I’m very concerned.

Your symptoms suggest trichomonal vaginitis causing swelling of Bartholin gland situated in the vaginal lip. You need antibiotic, anti inflammatory and anti-trichomonal medication in suitable dose (depending on your physical state, severity of inflammation) for immediate treatment can arrest the inflammation and prevent abscess formation. Please consult your gynecologist earliest. Till the time, you can start with anti-inflammatory drug over the counter like Combiflam and apply candid vaginal ointment. Keep the area clean.

The itching you have seems to be due go fungal infection and intense itching has irritated the Bartholin gland, present in lip of vagina. Thus, irritation, swelling and infection has caused Bartholinitis.
You need oral treatment for itching (Tab Fluconazole over the counter along with ointment and vaginal pessary). Please consult your gynecologist for more specific treatment and dosage suitable for you. Till you meet, continue with the pessary and have vaginal cleaning with hot water.
