Hello,
Acute neck rash may be due to an
allergic reaction or sensitivity to a particular substance, such as jewelry, food or medication. Other medical conditions that causes itchy rashes are infection, eczema, inflammation, allergic reaction,
contact dermatitis &
autoimmune disease. Serious disease that may cause such symptoms are obstructive
biliary disease and kidney disease. You are suggested to stop the use of ornaments, do not share your toiletries with anyone. Wash your clothes with hot water frequently.
Take care of your hygiene, wear soft cotton clothes. Do not touch or scratch the rashes, scratching may trigger its spread. You can apply ointment
hydrocortisone or clotrimazole on the area affected. Soframycin ointment also eases discomfort. You can take antihistamines at bed time. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get skin tests and routine tests done. Get STD tests done to rule out STIs. You may need antibiotics / antifungals / antivirals. You will be treated according to the pathology diagnosed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
