Suggest Treatment For Itching In The Eyes

for the first time in my 60+ years, my left eyelid seems to be oozing a mucus and the whole left eye is crazy-itchy. I should also say that I am suffering from the most severe cold-sore-throat-swollen-glands plus a few aphthous ulcers I ve ever had in my life. what should I do about my eyes?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to conjunctivitis.
I suggest you:
-use eyedrops
-take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen 400 mg three time a day
If the symptoms continue antibiotics may be needed.
