Hi..
Thanks for writing to us..

The symptoms seems to be due to a severe allergic reaction leading to itching, rashes and burning and swelling with swollen lips and eyelids..

Taking benadryl alone will not be sufficient and you should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..

You can be given a steroid shot to reduce swelling faster and control itching and along with it you will also bi advised oral anti allergics like Allegra and a tapering dose of steroids..
Along with it do cool compresses over the swelling and apply calamine lotion to soothe the skin..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
