Suggest Treatment For Itching Sensation On The Skin Despite Using Eleuphrat Ointment
I have a skin issue after staying on the cocos islands 8 years ago. I have been to a dermatologist, and I have had biopsies blood tests and I am currently using eleurphrat ointment for the itchiness and to control the lumps. I have used lotions for scabies and for fungal infections to no avail. I used a petroleum based ointment a few years ago on my arms. When I was scratching my arm and afterwards it felt like my skin was crawling . on my left arm the rash went away for a while. The doctors think I am nuts .The rash goes away in the cooler weather. It s now back due to the warmer weather and appears to be spreading. I have got it on both forearms and nape of the neck. I am over it after 8 years.
As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
