Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Flat Bumps On The Arm And The Wrist

Hi Doctor,I have 2 hard, small bumps under my skin that are very itchy. They are on my arm, on the inside of my wrist. At first I thought they were mosquito bites, when they were flat. But it has been about 5 days and they are hard bumps. I also have one on my ankle. Any ideas what this is and should I be at all concerned? Thank you.

Hi,

As per your query, you have symptoms of itchy and flat bumps on the arm and the wrist which seems to be due to viral infection, contact dermatitis, eczema or could be an allergic reaction.

Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking rashes. I would suggest you consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may order blood test, allergy test and skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis. The doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants and corticosteroid ointment along with antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis. For now, take Benadryl and drink plenty of water. Avoid exposure to sunlight.
