my right arm feels like mosquito bites but its not and woke me up in the middle of the night. a little puffy but not swollen too bad. The itchy has stayed on and off most of the day. It happened last week and my arm swelled and got a sore then clear fluid started coming out of the sore the next day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suggested to use insect repellents or a mosquito net. Since your arm is swollen you should visit ER, get clinically examined. You need antibiotics.

In the meantime you can take non sedating antihistamines, Levocetrizine, once daily for five days.

You can apply Neosporin or Hydrocortisone ointment in the area affected for relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
