Suggest Treatment For Itchy Lump In The Left Labia Minora
Hi.. I feel that I have a small lump in my left labia minora.. I did not take it into worry until it lasted for at least 2 weeks now. I feel it itchy when I stand and walk.. but its too small to see.. I can just feel a bit different when I touch it. I do not know what it is even if I look at the internet because I am still in my early 20s and never had sexual intercourse (which are some of the reasons for having cyst).. I have my doctor s appointment but it would be 2 weeks from now. I am afraid that it might get worse overtime if not cured earlier.. Please help me

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to Bartholincyst. This occurs due to blockage of bartholin ducts. It can be asymptomatic most of the times. If getting infected then can gives symptoms like itching , pain or redness. You can do warm compress with a towel for this. Using intimate wash is also good. If no improvement then you may need antibiotic therapy. For this you can consult your GP or gynecologist.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
