Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes And Hives In The Forearm

I am 59 years old and had a complete Hyst. almost 17 yrs ago.I was on a viville dot patch for many years with no problems, then i developed an allergy to them causing a red itchy rash at the contact point. My Dr. said they may have started using different glue and we changed brands, within two months the same thing started happening, so she started me on a mist spray to use on my forearm, after about 6 weeks i started with hives in the area, we changed brands again but the same thing happened, We then went with just a estrogen gel I apply on my thigh, and after a couple months the hives have returned (just where the gel is applied) My question is how long should I keep taking HRT?? What options do I have and will stopping cause me any future health problems??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is the drug sensitivity issue giving rashes and hives in the forearm.

As per my clinical experience, stop all the supplements of spray and other HRT for a period of 3 weeks and consult me for follow up progress online.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
