Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On Abdominal Area After Medical Abortion
Hello, I had a surgical abortion with anesthesia 2 weeks ago and I have developed a rash small red bumps all over my stomach and bra area now I am starting to get itchy all over. Do you think it was because of the procedure? Or if there is something I should put on for a rash to go away.
I don't think it is related to the procedure. This might be allergic reaction to some triggers, say for eg, an insect bite or a new under garment. If you don't have other symptoms like fever, just take Levocetirizine 5mg tablet at night for 5 days to relieve itching.
You can also apply calamine lotion 2-3 times a day to soothe the area. Consult your doctor if the rash is not coming down by 3 days or fresh symptoms gets added up.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
