Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a face rash it kind of looks like rosasea however over the past couple of days I have had the urge of scratching my face. I know I have bulimia and I have also seen that whenever I purge my face gets worse . I do not know what to do anymore. What can I put on my face to stop the urge to itch and get rid of the bumps.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy rashes on face and you feel like scratching them is due to urticaria. Need not to worry about it. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Hydroxygene hydrochloride commonly known as Atarax is the drug of choice to be given twice daily for few days. Wash face three times a day with plain water. Apply clindamycin gel on face and keep it like that for 15-20 mins. Drink plenty of water and take diet rich in multivitamins. Avoid repeated touching the area with hand as it will exaggerate your condition.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
