General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. If you send me a picture of it then it will be more helpful in identifying. If the rash is fluid filled type then genital herpes should be ruled out. In such case can take fluid from the rash for culture . It can be identified by dermatologist by a look on it also. If it is that then antiviral therapy with famcyclovir and acyclovir ointment locally will be helpful. If it is not like that then most likely fungal infection and in such case antifungal ointments like miconazole will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
