She has been to so many different doctors I could not count them all.She sees bugs on her body andevcontinues to pick, scratch and treat herself with different types of ointments and etc. She has even scalded the spots.I fill that I can do nothing. We are very close and I don t want anything to happen to her. Do you have an answer for me? Please help me to help her.
Dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them.cannot say in your particular case, but generally, seeing bugs that are not there is pretty common. It is a delusion.
And it can be from EITHER mental problems such as schizophrenia OR actually skin problems. Drugs of abuse ("cocaine bug") frequently cause people to feel like this BUT they do not generally actually believe it is bugged.
Anxiety, other stimulants often cause the feeling of bugs in the arms; just people do not generally believe in them if they do not have a mental condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
