Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On The Fingers

I was weeding last week my garden and something bit my finger while I was touching a bush. It started to itch a bit and red mark appeared right away. The next day my finger swell and was very itchy. Today is day 6 it is still a bit swallow and itchy. Can it be bat bite? Rabies?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
It seems you have got allergic reaction to some insect bite.
If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-clean the area thoroughly with soap and wayer
-Local application of hydrocortisone ointment and cold compresses for 3 days swelling and redness.
-Antihistaminics like oral cetrizine once for 3 days.
If the rash doesnot resolve in 3 days, visit to physician.Oral steroids like prednisolone may be required.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks
