Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On Thigh And Groin
im a male i have a rash on my groin thigh area for two months now. i also been using some anti itch cream during that time but its still there. i just started using this joct itch cream today. i havent had sex in six months so what could it be how can i cure it.
I would want you to get a KOH wet mount preprartion, for a confirmatory diagnosis.
If KOH wet mount is positive for fungal elements, then you could apply a topical OTC antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole cream, twice daily for 4-6 weeks.
An oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg once weekly for 4-6 weeks is also advisable for a confirmed fungal infection.
An OTC antihistamine e,g cetrizine 10mg once daily would help you in providing symptomatic relief from itching.
Regular use of an antifungal dusting powder would help in preventing a relapse
